Ngoodjida was founded in 2020 as a creative outlet for Rebekah, allowing her to balance her passion for storytelling with her work in the corporate and university sectors. Over the course of three years, the business has experienced remarkable growth. We’ve had the privilege of helping government departments achieve strategic goals through impactful short documentary films, assisting community organisations in dreaming big and crafting long-term engagement strategies, creating educational and promotional materials, producing large-scale community events, and delivering arts-based community engagement initiatives to inspire real change.
From our humble beginnings to our evolving impact, Ngoodjida continues to be driven by the power of storytelling.
What does ngoodjida mean?
In the Darumbal language, ‘Ngoodjida’ means “understand.” This word holds deep personal significance for Rebekah, who is Darumbal through her father. The name came about through a meaningful conversation between Rebekah and her father. As she shared her vision of going beyond simply telling stories, aiming to connect with people on a deeper level and foster genuine understanding, her father returned with this word, believing it perfectly captured the essence of her work.
